Description
Kenya
Bright, fruity, and complex.
This coffee comes from 300 smallholder farmers organized around Ena Coffee Factory in Embu County, Kenya. Grown at elevations between 1,600 and 1,800 meters in volcanic loam soil, then fully washed and dried on raised beds.
Ena is one of three factories under the New Runyenjes Farmers Cooperative Society. The cooperative supports its members with sustainable farming training, pre-finances inputs and labor, and even helps cover school fees for families. At the factory, cherry is collected daily during harvest, sorted for ripeness, depulped, fermented overnight, washed, and dried on raised screens over 2-3 weeks.
After drying, the coffee is conditioned in large bins to stabilize moisture before milling and sorting by grade. This careful process creates clean, expressive profiles that Kenya is known for.

What you'll taste is bright acidity up front with cherry and grapefruit, layered with kiwi and caramel sweetness. The body is smooth, the finish clean.
Pour-over or AeroPress brings out the best in this coffee, but it works however you brew.
And like every bag we sell, $2 goes to supporting children who are still waiting.
Not just great coffee. Coffee that does something.
